Nick and Jaime Parker are Born Again Restored! They were high school sweethearts before Nick swept Jaime off her feet and never looked back! Married at just nineteen years old they were driven to create their own path for the future. Houses are their passion. Jaime first got the renovation bug when she was able to assist Habitat for Humanity in the building of her sister’s house in the late 1990’s. Nick’s love for craftsmanship first came from watching his grandfather in his woodworking shop. He quickly learned the basics of building and, at twelve years old, began making model homes from balsa wood.
Nick and Jaime have four biological boys, and one precious adopted girl and are always on the run. Like many of you, they always have several projects going and wear many hats. The kids, of course, joyfully take it all in stride. It makes Nick and Jaime so very proud to watch each of their children demonstrate an appreciation for hard work. The Parker's have a strong understanding of customers’ expectations and always strive for excellence in everything they do.
“We take Rough Houses which have been written off and forgotten about, and give them new life.”
Nick Parker The brains, muscle, and momentum driver behind Born Again Restored.
Nick spent his childhood rummaging through construction sites, building forts, and running his small businesses. His passion for building stemmed from watching his grandfather in his workshop building furniture for the homestead. At the young age of 11 Nick started Prestige Lawn Care, his own Landscaping/Lawn Care business which fueled his entrepreneurial spirit into his early 20's. Although the skills would eventually change, the knowledge attained during these years would prove vital as his passion for homes was born. Nick received a football scholarship to attend college where he quickly accelerated and was recruited to tryout for the NFL. Although God had different plans that didn't include football, Nick graduated in just three and a half years with a degree in Business Management all while being married and having a new born baby. After college, Nick and Jaime found their passion for houses. To them, it was never about how many houses they could "fix" but rather how impactful they could be in the neighborhood. Nick oversees the construction teams and would rather be tearing out walls and rebuilding the home than sitting behind a desk. It’s rare to see Nick without a tool in his hand. Together, with extensive construction know-how the floor plan is maximized allowing Jaime and her Design Team to make the house a home with the finishing touches. Nick loves being part of every detail during the construction process and teaching others the how and why.
Jaime Parker The designer behind Born Again Restored and Restore House
Jaime grew up on her family horse farm in Southwestern Michigan. Her love of weathered yet functional material was born as the surrounding community offered countless barns and structures standing the test of time. Jaime was always very driven as a child and pushed herself towards perfection in every aspect of her life. When an A- was achieved it simply was not good enough. Her childhood showed her that hard-work does not come easy as farm-life has constant responsibilities. Jaime has always thrived in challenging environments. Graduating from college in just three years with a major in Human Biology and a minor in Business Management. All of this while transferring three times to follow Nick, her childhood sweetheart and his football career. After graduation Jaime's excelled in her career running assisted living facilities as the Executive Director. In her heart, she always knew her executive career days were limited. Giving birth to four sons within a five and a half year time frame, God placed it on her heart to walk away from her impressive career to stay home with the boys and later their adopted daughter from S. Korea. Although staying at home meant not going into the office, Jaime began honing her skills for interior design. Gaining inspiration from her upbringing, Jaime rekindled her childhood love for materials with history. Her design style is simple elegance with accents of color and character. She compliments the character of the home with comfortable decor and clean colors.
